Happy New Year 2018

Happy New Year 2018

We are about embark on a New Year 2018.  Many of us are thinking about all the things we went through and all the blessings God bestowed upon us in 2017.  Many people we knew are no longer with us and they will not see the new year.  Despite everything we have went through God was always there.  His word says, “Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

Many of us have made new year resolutions about things we want to accomplish and about things we want to change in our lives.  Whatever resolutions we have made, remember to always put God first in everything we do.  When we make God a part of our plans, he will direct our paths and keep us focused on accomplishing our goals.  This coming year I do not want to make a move without God’s blessing on whatever I am doing or trying to accomplish.  I beseech each and everyone of you to ask God’s blessing on your resolutions, so he can help you accomplish every goal.

2017 may not have been our greatest year, but thank God for helping us make it through and giving us another chance to get things right.  Remember in the coming year that each day is an opportunity to be better than we were the previous day.  Each day brings new grace and mercy.  As we get ready to embrace a new year we need to forgive everyone who hurt us in 2017.  Don’t carry those burdens and pains into the new year.  God tells us in his word to, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7) Today cast every care and concern upon God’s shoulder and let us go into the new year praising God for all he is going to do.  Let us have great expectations this new year.  Expecting God to move all obstacles out of our way, to give us favor and open doors to help us accomplish our purposes and goals.

Happy New Year! May God bless you and your family.
